Sunburn
This is probably the easiest minor illness to avoid.
Use high factor sun creams and do not stay in the sun too
long. Children are especially vulnerable so make sure they
are protected from the sun.
If you do get burned...
Cool the area with cold wet flannels, or take a cool bath.
Apply moisturising creams or calamine lotion to the area.
- Take a simple painkiller such as paracetamol.
- Drink plenty, burnt skin loses a lot of moisture which
must be replaced by drinking.
Remember not to get burnt again! |
