Obtain Prescriptions

If you require repeat medication, your doctor will have given you a set number of prescriptions that you can request for that medication. These will be printed on the right hand side of your prescription. It is important that you keep this tear off slip.

Before you run out of medication, please either bring the slip into us, ticking the items you require, or if you do not have the slip, please write the medication you need on a piece of paper along with your name, address and date of birth and drop it into the box in the surgery. The prescriptions box can be found inside the entrance to the surgery.

You can also fax us your prescription on 01803 526702, or use our online repeat request feature by clicking here.

As stated above, repeat prescriptions have a certain amount of issues which can be given before the doctor has to re-authorise your prescriptions. This is a safeguard to yourselves. When the doctor comes to re-authorise your prescriptions he/she may ask you to come to the surgery for a review to make sure that you are taking the right medication for your condition, or indeed, whether you can stop taking the medication.
