New NHS Screening Campaign is good news for over 60's.

Bowel Cancer is the third most common Cancer in the UK (the second most common cause of cancer deaths) and the NHS has decided to initiate a national screening programme for those most at risk. The programme will be rolled out starting Autumn 2006 for that at risk group of 60 to 69 year olds (those over 70 can request screening if they wish) and those eligible will be offered screening every two years which only involves a simple home testing procedure.
